The all new Leatt GPX 5.5 FlexLock boot, a 3-year project with long term development and testing using our Pro athletes from all over the world!

The GPX 5.5 boot is a real head-turner when it comes to looks and style, but the design brief was comfort and protection also, and we nailed it first time.

As you slide your foot inside our boot, you instantly feel the plush interior and quality of the materials used, it’s like putting your feet inside your favourite shoes or slippers!

Our adjustable FlexLock system reduces forces to the ankle by up to 37% and the knee by up to 35% by locking out the ankle movement when over flexed, giving you that feeling of security.

With great feel of the frame, gear lever and rear brake, these boots instantly feel so good.

You must check out our SlideLock Velcro function, it really is ground-breaking in security fastening boot technology.

Leatt 5.5 boots 2nd ride review

I own the Leatt GPX neck brace and Leatt knee guards and have always been impressed with their gear.
The boots have equally impressed me - super comfortable with excellent support and still easy to walk in.
Compared to other high-end boots, the price is reasonable too.
The reason for 4, not 5, stars:
1: If you look at most boots with lateral axis points, they are close the the ankles. The Leatt boot's ankle axis points are too high. They provide good resistance to hyper-extension and flexion, however little forgiveness. Hence, weakness is seen and felt lower on the boot - you can see the fabric crease between the plastic.
2: On my second ride, the plastic at the top of the boot, where LEATT is written, broke off. Yep, a piece about the size of a 50c coin snapped off, leaving a sharp point. Strange thing is, I can't remember hitting anything with that boot.
Maybe small things, but overall, it is an excellent and very comfortable boot.
